Ever dreamed of playing soccer overseas? Having the opportunity to play in a country where soccer is a way of life? Experiencing soccer in a country where some of the best players to ever grace the game are from? Here at Joe Palumbo Soccer Academy we provide dedicated individuals such an opportunity.
At JPSA, we have established a reputation for the best training in this region. For over 50 years, Joe Palumbo has brought his native culture to America as a youth player, scholastic player, professional player, but most importantly, as a teacher and mentor to American kids who have benefited by his tutelage. Culture is the key word here. Joe was born and grew up in a small town in Southern Italy for the first 13 years of his life. It’s no secret that the game’s culture initiated in Europe and Joe is a product of European soccer culture. Having established here in Putnam Valley, NY has been a dream realized and over the years, JPSA has consistently created experience for children to grow in the game and emulate the culture that Joe brought to America. Our soccer tours are a prime example of Joe’s mission to not only create an academy that teaches the game, but to expose those who have the passion to excel to where he actually developed his soccer IQ! Joe began in the 80’s and 90’s to bring groups to England. In the past 10 years, JPSA has sponsored tours to Italy and just recently to Cristiano Ronaldo’s home: Portugal!
The excitement is building... Our international tours are back in action with Portugal on the horizon! 16 players are rostered for a week full of soccer with International friendlies scheduled against Academy clubs in Portugal and training sessions conducted by professional coaches! Multiple family members will accompany the team for the week to experience the soccer culture of Portugal and a few sight seeing opportunities! We are proud to finally return to Europe and continue our history of creating life long memories for our youth!
Here is a short video from the 2012 AIAC Italy Tour when JPSA took a team of High School boys.
JPSA returned to Italy in March 2013 with a team of High School girls. The girls stayed in Lago Di Garda and competed against three different Italian teams; Milan AC, Brescia, and Bardolino CF. This wonderful experience was a 7-day trip.
In August 2015 JPSA returned to the Lago Di Garda area of Italy with a boys and a girls team. Below is the documentary style video of the trip, followed by highlights from the boys games.
