We’ve now hit our third and final cycle of winter sessions!
Players from both club and academy have now participated in up to 10 weeks of training, in which we’ve explored the game through a variety of activities, culminating in the fan-favorite scrimmage to end the session. Academy players have been consistently graded on each session, receiving colored stars based on their skill, sportsmanship, and self discipline within the hour block.
It’s safe to say we’ve made the most of the last 10 weeks!
Normally there’s a bit of a slowdown come the start of the winter season: we’re approaching the holidays, the time per session shortens, and the space restrictions are a bit different from what we experience outdoors. However, the energy injected into every single session from the start of this winter season has truly been remarkable.
Goals continue to be celebrated. Questions are being asked. Friends are being made. Players of all different levels are coming together and giving their best efforts consistently, and we couldn’t ask for anything more as we enter our final 5 weeks, and prepare to enter our spring season.
Let’s keep going!
Yours in soccer,
Imade Olumhense
