Q: Why should I register for JPSA summer camp?
A: Joe Palumbo Soccer Academy has been the foundation of thousands of soccer players spanning 25 years of professional instruction, and the development of individual skills necessary to properly play the world's greatest game. We are enthusiastic about creating a fun learning environment for your kids and seeing them excel in soccer, and in life. Our specialized camps are designed for ages 4 and up, to give your soccer player a weeks' worth of skills and drills while providing various training and soccer activities throughout the week.
Q: How do I register for camp?
A: All of our registration is done online so that we have a record of every child in the camp. You can find our convenient registration site at the following link: Camp Registration
Q: Where is the camp located?
A: Our camps are located at our privately owned beautiful facility, Joe Palumbo Soccer Academy at 7 Bryant Pond Road Putnam Valley, NY 10579
Q: How long is a camp day?
A: The full day camp option is from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Half day option is from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
Q: How much does summer camp cost?
A: The full day cost is $350 per week. The half day cost is $200 per week. Before March 15th, you can register for the full day at an Early bird discounted rate of $295.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: JPSA REFUND POLICY: Once a player has registered they are obligated for the session. No refunds will be given EXCEPT in the instance of medical reasons. In 2020, we have implemented a JPSA COVID-19 Credit Policy which is outlined below.
All registrants will receive a 1-year credit to future JPSA programs ONLY for the amount of sessions that are not completed or cancelled due to COVID-19 related reasons. The expiration of this credit is one year from the issuance.
Q: How and where do I check in or check out for camp and what is the procedure?
A: Check-in will be done at 9:00am when you arrive to camp in the pavilion. You will be required to bring the medical release form that was sent to you upon registration. You MUST check your child in to camp each day AND you MUST check them out before they leave for every child’s safety. IF a babysitter, grandparent, friend is picking up your child, you must call and inform us of this or bring a note before hand.
Q: What should my child bring?
A: Your child should be properly equipped for soccer; t-shirt, shorts, soccer socks, shin-guards and cleats. You should bring a water bottle that can be filled up throughout the day at our water stations. They can bring lunch with them or buy it when they arrive. Please bring a towel, change of clothes, and sandals for the times where it rains and/or times they are not playing to give their feet a rest.
Q: What if it rains?
A: If it is raining, we will continue play. If we experience thunder and lightning, we will bring the children under the pavilion and must wait a certain amount of time before they can resume play. If we must cancel a camp day, you will be notified via email.
Q: What is a typical day at JPSA camp like?
A: Brief Daily Outline:
9:00am-9:15am: Check-in (Place your belongings in the proper location)
9:15am-9:30am: Meet the Teachers/Morning speech
9:45am-11:45am: Technical Training/ Small sided games (stations change each day)
11:45am-12:00pm: Recap of the morning session
12:00pm-12:45pm: Lunch
1:00pm – 1:40pm: Soccer competitions (Soccer tennis, Soccer Golf, Etc.)
1:40pm-2:00pm: Speech/Organize teams/Game preparation
2:00pm – 3:40pm: Afternoon Games
Q: Do you provide early drop off or after care?
A: Early care drop off is available for an additional $10/hour. After care pick up is also available for an additional $10/hour.
Q: Do you provide lunch?
A: Your child can bring their own lunch or they can buy lunch.
Lunch options are any sandwich from the deli, chips and a drink for $10/day or $50/week. Your child MUST order in the morning at 9:00am check-in with Denise.
Q: Does your facility have bathrooms?
A: Yes, we have bathrooms inside the pavilion/office/snack shack area along with a portable restroom on the fields.
Q: If you register for half day, do you eat lunch?
A: Yes. Lunch is at 12:00pm after the morning session. Half Day pick-up is 1:00pm.
Q: Do you only play soccer?
A: Yes. The morning session 9am-12pm is mainly focused on skills/technical training and small sided games. We have soccer related games after lunch like soccer tennis and soccer golf. The afternoon session from 2:00-3:40pm is all soccer games.
Q: What should my child refrain from bringing to camp?
A: Any valuable items should be left at home to ensure the safety of your child's belongings. Any type of handheld computer game, cell phone, ipod, etc. should be left home.
